Default Rotary Gear Selector Part Number?

Hi, I'm looking to find the part number for the stock Rotary Gear Selector Knob for a 2014 XJ. I've done some searching, and I'm not finding it anywhere. I've seen the alternate part with the double black bands but I want the original.

Hope this isn't blasphemous but I plan on using it in my 2014 Range Rover. I like the knurled metal look and feel a lot better than the black rubber band we get by default.

It's one big happy JLR family, right!?

Thanks

Thanks very much for the reply. The part you show looks like it might be the older version? Below is the part I'm trying to find. I'll keep searching around.

Thanks again!

Hi GGG the part you showed is for the XF trim and not the XJ. Maybe the rotary knob is the same but I am not sure since it is shown for another model.

Jaguar offer an alternative Rotary Switch from the accessory range. That could be it.

Thanks, the accessories part has dual bands and a leather topper instead of knurled metal.

The Parts Catalogue page I posted is for the XJ (see red circle) although there can be mistakes in it!

Checking further, the standard Rotary Switch P/N is the same for XF, XJ and XK.

Thanks for all the help guys but I'm looking for the part in the image below, not the one from the Accessories line. I had thought it was the stock part because it appears to be in all the images on the Jaguar site.

It appears that the all metal rotary selector is not available as a separate part. You have to purchase the entire transmission shift assembly ($825) to get it. Only the leather rotary shifter is available separately.

Default Knurled Metal Shift Knob

Roverhaul

Did you ever find the knurled rotary shift knob you were looking for? I've also been looking too and have had some difficulty with my search online.

Maybe if someone has upgraded their stock XF shifter and would be willing to sell their original oem part, that could be a likely scenario to get our hands on one.

Salad, I'm getting ready to replace my 'knurled' knob on the XJ for the leather trimmed accessory. If you're interested in purchasing the one I remove, send me a PM. I'll be really careful removing the top cover.

I'm interested. Send me some close up pics once you have it removed.

Kvkrasinski@yahoo.com

We can make arrangements from there.

I'm not sure I have PM privileges yet. How did the rotary knob replacement go?

It's been installed!

My old knob looks practically brand new. I nicked the shiny black plastic piece that insets into the top with the smallest of micro-screwdrivers to lift it off, but I'm in the process of repainting it...sanded, primered, wet sanded, and I've got the gloss black going on right now, as a matter of fact. If you can get yours off w/o any damage...say soaking it in goo-gone for a day or so, you can reuse yours.

If you want it, send me a PM and we can work out a reasonable price.

I'm looking for tips to remove a 2009 Jaguar XF rotary shift knob. I am having a hell of time prying off the inner metal disc that I've seen referred to in other posts. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
