what did I do to my xj12
Now have the genuine Jaguar power steering pressure switch fitted on my 95 xj12. Power steering all well and good. However, during all of this I removed the radio and replaced it with a new one.
The issue I now have is that the check engine light remains on, even after disconnecting the battery to clear computer memory, and when I pull away from a standstill, it is like trying to pull away in a gear other than first. Total lack of power/pick up. Once rolling the speed picks up and the car drives as expected.
Will call in Autozone or the like tomorrow and get scanned, but, I was wondering, when I was pulling out the wiring for the radio, is there any wiring in that vicinity that may have become detached which would affect the transmission???

Thanks for replying 1 of 19. Did that, code is P1367. Trying to find that online.
I'm old school, hate computers. So like a good old school person would, having only had the car a short time, I also went back to basics. Honestly, I am amazed the car was even starting. Air filters were filthy, and fuel filter was almost completely blocked, hence changed air filters and fuel filter, and running better. Although today I had a strange experience, while driving the revs went up and at what should have been tick over, the revs were at almost 2,000.
I disconnected battery for a few minutes, and when I reconnected, tick over was usual 650.
Also this morning I had a problem starting, turned key all lights on dash came on as usual, but nothing when I moved key to start position. Fiddled with relays in front of drivers side air intake, and she started. Problem seemed to be third relay across counting away from wheel, ie, toward center of the car. I need to get a wiring diagram for this model, but I think maybe this might be the starter relay?????? Tell me if I am wrong.
Could not get genuine relay this morning so got a generic, and plugged that in and car starts.
Any advice welcome. thanks.
