Hi sixpackd,
If you download and install the Jaguar Electronic Parts Catalog, free from this forum, you can easily look up part numbers yourself.
There have been some part number supersessions, but the EPC shows these:
To VIN G34527: C2C20225
VIN G34528 to G49700: C2C28093
From VIN G49701: C2C33739
Compare the above to your car's VIN, then go to jaguarmerriamparts.com and search the part number to see if it has been superseded since the EPC was published and you'll know the most current part number.
If you're going to purchase a salvaged replacement, you should be able to use any of the part numbers shown in the supersession history, but you might as well use the newest part number shown to fit your car if available.
P.S. I haven't had to do this yet, but my assumption is that some of the common issues with the FEM may be repairable if you're so inclined.
Cheers,
Don

I unscrewed the 2 bolts holding it to the chassis, however the wiring has no slack, so I cant get under it to detach the wiring connectors.
Any suggestions?
thx

Hi belawidi,
To help us give you the most accurate replies, please tell us the year, model and engine of your Jaguar. It's a good idea to add this info to your signature so others don't have to ask.
Secondly, do you have the same exact codes as in the title of this thread? If not, please tell us the exact codes you have.
Cheers,
Don

I will try the wiring
Hi Don and everyone,
Special thanks to 03Xtype,
I don't work on the Jag myself. My mechanic told me, there's no reading from the O2 sensors. He won't troubleshoot the wiring though.
I'll share the 03Xtype's resolved case with him.
Thanks again,
belawidi

There are a few ways to fix the issue
The first is to replace the fusebox.
If you are using a second hand part be prepared for the old relay to fail in the replacement. Using a new one is expensive but will give you longevity
The Second way is to fit an external relay
You can use standard automotive relays. Use a fused relay to make it easy. Pickup an ign trigger and power from the megafuse in the fusebox. Remove the O2 fuses and use a spade connector to feed power to them.
I did this initially when my relays failed. I used this option while waiting for a used fuse box. I then rebuilt both fuse boxes using the 3rd option
The Third way is to replace the relays. The are standard din type pcb mounted relays and cost only a few dollars each. I chose to replace all of them while I had the fuse box apart.
An interesting note is when you pull the covers off and remove the PCB you find its made by Learjet!!!
The hardest part is separating the 2 pcb's. To do this the best way is to use a soldering station as you need to remove all the connections on each side Failing access to one of these you can use a heat gun to do each side at the same time then clean it up with solder wick. If your not confident dong this you can cut the links and replace them with new wire latter on.
Once the 2 halves are apart its a simple matter of desoldering the relays and replacing them.
If you have gone the option of replacing the fuse box I would recommend you repair the old one. If you have used a second hand fusebox as it will fail again in the same way. Its best to have a refurbished part ready to go when that happens.
If you do a search I put up posts on using the external relay and repairing the fuse box a while back
Cheers

I have the same problem. I jumped 12V to the fuses and the CEL stays off. Of course, I'm having to hook the fuse up, then disconnect it five minutes later so I don't burn the sensors up, but if I can just get enough drive cycles to get it inspected this week I'll look into it later. At least now I know what's wrong.
