06 XJ8 Vanden Plas - CEL and Restricted Performance
I am a newbie here and i would really appreciate some help with my car problems.
I have a cel and restricted performance that comes on at 3000 RPM. I have codes P0300, P0302,P0304,P0305,P0306,P0307,P0308,P0316,P03113,P 0102,P0128 and U0426.
I changed all plugs and changed only 1 coil. I was told that i may have put in bad gas and i put some injector cleaner in the tank.
When i get to 3000 Rpm is when the restricted performance comes on and the cel blinks off and on.

wow thats a list and a half . could be bad fuel . but there are a few cylinders not reporting the issue. id be tempted to rule out an alternator reg rectifier issue spiking the volts or a battery issue . have you cleared the codes ? to see what came back . you have a p0102 maf code that may have got the ball rolling . but worse a p0128 coolant thermostat range/performance . which would indicate too hot or too cold . hope fully not to hot .
you need to clear the codes keep an eye on the temp via obd2, and test the voltage is in range . whilst making it repeat fail . then check what codes returned

Hi keelak,
Welcome to the Jaguar Forums. It's great to have you with us.
Most often, when a Jaguar presents with a long list of DTCs, at least some of them have been triggered by low battery voltage, particularly while cranking the engine. So I agree with Datasports that it would be prudent to clear the codes and focus only on those that recur.
You can download the full Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Summaries manual at the link below. The manual explains possible causes of each fault code:

Please keep us informed!
Cheers,
Don
