Check your fuses.

 

Just bear in mind that this is the forum for the X350 series of XJ saloons from 2003 to 2009. Your car is an X308 series and there is a forum, (and experts) for that. I think you'll get a better response there.

I know this is an old post, but to anyone who has had this same problem as I have. The problem is in the turn signal switch. There is a very small wire that can break from its solder as you are constantly using the turn signal. Take off the steering wheel ignition covers around the turn signal and you will very carefully have to solder this wire back on. I believe mine was yellow. my mileage also was not working along with everthing else. This fixed it all.
