Default 2004+ XJ8 X350 Service Manual

I am trying to locate the best source for a Service Manual for my 2005 XJ8.

I can only seem to find this ebay seller selling it in PDF format.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JAGUA...sQ5fLiterature

Is this the manual I need?

Is there a better way to get one?

Thanks,

Well, I just went ahead and did it.

It appears to be just as advertised, a PDF version of the manual.

I feel it was worth the $16 investment.

You did good. Only service data avail to amateures is JTIS on disk. It's sort of clunky to use but very informative.

I also purchased and it was exactly what I needed. A I remember 6000+ pages, much of it you won't need, some of it you will.

I bought one too, and at first glance, it is full of useful information. However, it is very free with page space, so there are lots of pages with not very much on them. Good thing is it has pictures to show where to do/undo bolts etc.

Did you know the front suspension camber angle can be adjusted as the inner lower wishbone fixing has an eccentric bolt ? I didn't. Caster angle is also adustable. All the settings valuse are given so no excuse for tyres wearing out prematurely ! Most cars no longer have adjustment in these settings.

The "local pickup" is to satisfy eBay and make sure there isn't a default shipping charge.

After you pay for the item, they send you a temporary link which you use to download the zip file containing the PDFs. The file is 45Megs.

I was viewing the file on my machine within 1/2 hour of paying for it.

I think we are purchasing this from France, so depending on when you place the order there might be a delay in receiving the link do to the time difference.

Thumbs up manual

Just got mine. Heck for the price of a few beers in a bar you can get this manual. Even if it only saves one broken fastener because you didn't know it was there it's paid for itself.
Thanks again Dave

...can't tell. There are no markings on it at all, possibly to prevent any copyright infringement. I don't know what the official copy looks like but it looks real. All the data are there.

LET'S HEAR FOR THE NRA BOYS!

I looked at this forum thread: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/j...k-links-20085/

There is a link to let you decode your VIN. I found that my 2004 XJ8 is within the coverage of that manual and so I ordered one. The 2004 was the first of that series and so there has to be gold in them there pages.

Could someone post the seller's name? That ebay auction experied and I can't view its info. All the manuals I could find on ebay stop at 04, which I thought was similar, but say a manual covers 00-04 if they're not the same generation?
