Key Fob Madness

Key Fob Madness
First of all this fob worked fine until I put a fresh battery in it...After that it was not working...I have tried the proper procedure for programming at least a hundred times with no luck...It will only beep on 4 flashes so I go with that....I can get the doors to lock and unlock, and trunk works....Sometimes the mirrors go in and out during locking sequence sometimes not...Then suddenly the door lock button starts operating the courtesy lights instead which sometimes sets off the alarm when it feels like it...Never get a clean single beep cycle no matter what I do...Ideas?

First---is the new battery fresh and measuring ~3.3VDC? It's been my experience that 3.0VDC is about the minimum for key programming and operation. I am sure you have noticed that fob working distance from the automobile is greater with a full battery.
Second---since you have ordered on line (as I have and with good success) make sure the part # and FCC code on the bottom half of the key fob electronics half is/are identical your known good key fob. The numbers are quite small but can be more easily read if dusted with some talc or corn starch.
I replaced the elctronics on on fob after it was run through the washer. Replacement needed new battery and programming but it worked well.
I am assuming programming instructions are on the forum. I found mine before I joined here.
So good luck and keep us posted, ok?

A bit mor key FOB programming info
I'm assuming you went with one of the $25 options such as is shown in this link:

I am sure I went with the most cost effective solution myself. The trick is to find the correct programming sequence. Some just don't work for some reason. Patience is the key. (Pun intended).
Here is another internal link that you may hav already visited.

NOT Doing quick flashes of the headlight was the step that got me steamed. Quick flashes cleared the way.
