Leaking Engine Mounts

Leaking Engine Mounts
My 07 XJR was at the local dealer for an oil change recently (since I supply my own oil it is cheaper than the corner oil change shop). Naturally the dealer went over the car to find anything wrong with it they could persuade me to approve them to fix, most of which I will do myself ($60 to change a license plate bulb - don't think so!).
However they also found leaky engine mounts, something I am not able to replace myself. They showed them to me - dried purple stains running down each mount. The car has had no symptoms of collapsed mounts - no shaking at idle, no clonking on acceleration - so I'm wondering how urgent this job is, or whether this is something that will deteriorate slowly for many more miles before it must be attended to (the car has 71K miles). When I have to do the job I shall almost certainly use an independent, of course.
Anyone else have this problem?

Not a fault in my car, (yet !!).
Usually things like this have a fail-safe mode as one doesn't want the engine to detach itself. What I suspect will happen is that the fluid that provides a damping function will all eventuallyleak out and then the car will suffer increased noise, vibration, and harshness from engine vibration passing through into the body shell.
