The pin point test for that error is:
PINPOINT TEST G1043827p8 : DTC B2295: FLASH CODE 22: DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG MALFUNCTION G1043827t66 : CHECK THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG MODULE AND CIRCUIT USING A SIMULATOR
1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
2. Wait one minute for the system to become safe.
3. Disconnect the driver side airbag electrical connector, SD17.
4. Connect a simulator to the connector.
5. Reconnect the battery negative terminal.
6. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
7. Allow the self-test to complete with the simulators installed.
· Does the self-test pass?
-> Yes
INSTALL a new driver side airbag module, Side Air Bag Module (76.73.47) CLEAR the DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
-> No
INSTALL a new driver side airbag harness. CLEAR the DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
According to the Electrical Guide connector SD17 is a 2-Way / Black one and it is in the driver seat back. You probably don't have a simulator though

Well as you guessed I do not have a simulator. Perhaps the easiest thing to do is to clean connectors and test again. Do you know the locations and access points for the module and wiring harness ends?
also, is it possible to reset the airbag system without a simulator? does pulling fuses or restarting the car clear the airbag system?
thanks once again for your help

hi well i guess i should have reported i fixed my problem --1st i went to a jag dealer 1 hr drive (i,m on south atlanta all jags are on the nort side)told them my problem ---they told me the codes were just a starting point --it needed to be put on a code reader and checked or just reset---at the time car had a salvage title and would have to be towed ---not a good option --$$$$$---so i looked for a code reader in newnan ga area ---found a shop------ma and pa kettles forien cars ---------no joke --------------got it there he hooked it up tryed to reset it --tryed a second time wala that was early december ---no problem since ------oh by the way the cost $50 ---maybe you just need to be reset with a jag coded comp????????

I ran some more tests on the airbag code 22 for the driver side airbag module. I took the drivers seat out and reconnected all connectors under the seat, and to my delight normal airbag operation, ie no light for 3 days and now its back. I was unsure of which connector may be the culprit, can anyone provide any help there, so I can focus my attention there. Only one green connector under the seat, not sure if that is significant or not. thanks for any thoughts anyone may have to help find the issue.

Hi
This may not be the same error, but have your ever replaced your windscreen? The error could be due to the loose wire connection on the left hand pillar of the windscreen (my car is right hand drive, so your connector may be on a different side). Windscreen repairers often leave this wire unconnected after fitting windscreens, and if loose, it causes airbag instrument cluster warning light problems. The wire is two-thirds or thereabouts along the pillar from the top, and connects the wire from the windscreen with a connector for the seats located on the lefthand side pillar.
Good luck.

well the error code 22 did come back again, after much trial and error I did narrow down the poor connector to a 4 pin grey flat connector. I replaced the connector with a generic connector from radio shack designed for 110 volts, so it had much larger connections. This appeared to have resolved the problem for months

2004 xj8 code 33
I am trying to re-title my '04 xj8. I replaced the steering wheel AB, all three rear seat belts. All pass the OHM test. I sent the RCM out to "MyAirbags" to be cleared and reset.
I get it all back together and now I get a flash code 33. Anyone know what this code is? Also, is there a website that I can go to to look up my codes?
No autoparts stores near me respect Jag codes.

I found the answer. For a 2004 XJ8 the airbag flashcode 33 is for the drivers seat belt restraint firing off. This one, unlike the rear seats, is on the female side. The shoulder strap is not part of the firing device. The part you attach the seat belt to is the part that fires and it only retracts about six inches. I found one on eBay fro $47.00. I hope this does the trick.
Also, I went ASK. Dot. Commmm and entered Jaguar airbags codes. The third one down was great. I was able to print out all codes from jags from 2004-2009.
