Default HELP EGR tube thread tap issue

I needed to replace my exhaust gaskets coming from the manifold to the down pipe before the pre-cats. Everything went ok, but when I went to put the EGR tubes back on, one of them will not thread back in and is slightly stripped. ARGH! What do I do? Anyone know of a solution? Thread repair kit? It's a 17mm head the same as the 02 sensors. Any input would be great!

Is what you refer to as "stripped" the first thread on the thread nut, or is it the thread in the body? Use a triangle file to clean up the one on the nut. I have no idea for the one in the manifold.

Make sure it's really stripped and not just misaligned. Getting a nut to start when the pipe is pushing it slightly is very difficult.

It's definitely stripped a bit. The thread is laid down. A triangle file is a great idea. Thank you.
