Default 1999 Jaguar XJR RIMS question

Well I have a question for y'all

I have a 99 XJR with chrome rims that are in bad condition (the chrome is)

Anyhow I wanted to know if I could fit 19X9 in the front and 19X10 in the rear, basically the RIMs are from a 2011 XJ

I need new tires anyway so I don't mind swapping out the rims.
Any thoughts?

The hole centres are different so the later rims will not fit.

You can try some XJR/XK8 rims from the same period, up to 2003 or BMW wheels of desired size, having 5x120 studs disposal.

Couldn't the holes be machined bigger if they're too small?

I wonder if it would be more viable (cheaper) option to have the chrome removed and paint the rims, instead of having them re-chromed..?

this almost seems too good to be true, but this website has Jaguar OEM asteroid alloys for $111.95 each. they give you free shipping if you get 4

18" x 8" Alloy Wheel - Auto Parts Fair®

at that price I think it almost has to be a scam

They're some fugly wheels, just look for oem manufactured and you will not have problems. I learnt long ago not to buy anything but oem because they're not egg shaped and stay round.
The advice above about looking into XK8 as well as X308 gives a large choice, or just fit a good set of Asteroid Jaguar XJ8 wheels...or get the originals powder coated...

Asteroid Rims only will run about $1200-1400
While these somewhat fugly (ok... maybe a bit more then somewhat) with continental tires that were driven 2000 miles and everything came off a BMW M5 would run me $500

As for powder coat the original rims this is something that might take 3-6 weeks at crazy prices

What tires and how much, as well where are you located?
Are you the person selling the XJ8 in Plano?
