Mysterious Power Steering Fluid Leak - Help!
I've tried searching the forums here for this problem and nothing really fits this, so I would appreciate any insight.
I have a pretty serious power steering fluid leak coming from the right/passenger side of the engine.
The leak seems to be originating above the alternator wicking down it and hitting the ground. Some of the fluid is also hitting the oil filter.
The is a line under the airbox with a weird looking coupler but the leak is not coming from there. It seems to be nestled along the engine block somewhere.
The steering rack is dry with no signs of leaking... It can't be from the rack as it is too far behind the leak.
The power steering pump/reservoir is dry as well.
So is there any power steering lines etc... above the alternator running next to the engine block?
Any insight/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.....
(BTW it is not oil, as the PS reservoir level drops over time as it leaks).

Nevermind
Nevermind... I've found the problem....
The leak is occuring in the metal pipe where it lays against the alternator. Apparently it has corroded and 2 very small pin hole leaks have developed.
Since the holes are laying against the alternator it is tough to tell where the fluid is coming from as it wicks all over the place.
I guess now I need to cut that section out and replace it with some hose.
I suppose it could have been much worse.....
