Hello Everyone. I saw this on Ebay (via PrinceMarko) for my VDP SC. It didn't show were it fits the VDP SC BUT does fit the XJ8 L. I was a little puzzled due to the fact that the XJ8 L and the VDP SC are essentially the same. I would figure they have the same underpinnings. Am I correct?

It's been covered before, general consensus is they're crap. Look at the mounting points... they're all attached to the same lower subframe piece

Where is the post about these being crap. The rear bar eliminates the 2 separate bars & makes it one solid mount. This is the same thing Jaguar did with the rear end stabilizer also known as a monostrut. The early cars had 2 separate rods & were uprated to a single bar.

 

Maybe you can explain it to us then?

From the picture in the link, the only thing the bar does is make the outer subframe bushes irrelevant, by reinforcing this part

Obviously, these people do not understand the design of the X308 rear susp.
If you observe closely, this jig is mounted in such a way as to not do anything...except add weight ;o)=)
Always some clown trying to invent a better mouse trap....trap being the operative word ;o]P

 

It's different on the XK and may improve things. On the XJ it's completely redundant.
