Well, several people that are thinking like you. My question is why? If want a Jag leave it a Jag If you want a Chev get a Chev.

There are companies that supply complete instructions and critical special parts. Do it that way and you will have a much better product. Do an internet search and you will find more than 1. Folks have been doing this conversion for 30+ yrs. Depending on your skill level/knowledge set you will get something really special or a pile of rubbish. If you don't have a $2500 min budget, forgetaboutit. It will just break your heart.

'Jags That Run' was the pathfinders of this swap. Seems that a large number of '80's Jaguar engines failed leaving really great cars with no value. Those situations created an industry of Chevy engine swaps.

They have books and parts to make this a relatively simple endeavor. See http://www.jagsthatrun.com/Pages/Jaguar_V-8.html
