Default Where can I get this part..?

I've been told its a intake manifold tube, but I'm not completely sure.. it's the front-most one, there's a rather large hole in it, and you have to stay on the gas or the car will shut off. I need the name of the part, and where i can get one.

That is one of the plastic intake manifold runners, looks like #4 in the picture. I can send you a good used one tomorrow morning, $20.00, plus however much you want to pay to ship it to you. PM me by clicking on my screen name above if you're interested.

Yes, sorry, I caught that after my post. #1 is no problem, and I believe it's just two bolts on each end to change one. They don't often fail, though I didfoolishly poke a hole in one once while removing a throttle body.

No problem. They never go bad on their own, and it wasn't until I punctured one that I realized they were plastic...I had always thought they were aluminum.

JagtechOhio,

I just checked on the Jaguar Classic Parts website. Those elbows can either be made of plastic or aluminum. I believe on my 88, it's aluminum. I'm going to have to tap on it with something metal to make sure what it's composed of. At some point, I have to drill a hole in the one closest to the windshield (#6?) to accommodate my future brake booster setup. If it's plastic, then drilling should be a breeze.

Yes, I looked too and the original style is aluminum. There was a split by engine number, so I'm guessing but maybe it was when they upped the compression ratio in mid '88 that they changed. For sure '90 and later are all plastic, the one I sent to kramexl yesterday was from a '90 engine.
