Tilting Mirror and Memory Questions
I need some inputs from 1993-94 XJ40 Owners / Tech Guys as my manual don't state anything about how the memory function works .
So, I do have a tilting passenger mirror but it doesn't engage automatically when you put the shifter into R ,only times it works providing those steps you have push the mirror button forward (blue marked ) and the little switch must be swung to the passenger side mirror (red marked)
If the switch is left the the middle or swing to the driver's side no way tilting function works .
Not a big deal but I would like to know it is by design or mine is quirky lol
As for the memory settings, normally in memory settings you press 1 (or whatever your setting is adjusted ) and you touch the button only once, ( get your fngers off the button ) and all your comfort settings are come on(eith your fingers off ) but in my ride , you have to keep the button pressed until your settings are selected in other words you must get your fingers on the button untill the seat stops running .
If you get your fingers off during the memory call, it stops .
I confirm that memory settings are done correctly by reading manual ,so I could hear a chime after the memory was set as well
