Default Ok So I know I am now a dork

So I know this is full on dork but I just got some pictures of the Jag I am buying. My friend is tired of his Jag (not sure how that is possible) but he made me a heckuva deal and here she is.

The guy in the picture is not me. I will have one with my SEG (sheit eatin grin) when I pick it up in a couple weeks.

Be honest what do you think?

Rutty,
I don't know if it's just on my computer, but the pictures do not appear in the body of the text. Perhaps you did it wrong? Few of us are going to click on a link that takes us away from the website. You know, computer viruses and all that...

Yeah... I posted them in my garage and tried to link there but they didn't show up... I'll do some checking on posting pictures in a sec and repost.

Thanks for letting me know.

Let's see if this works. I guess it helps if you read the FAQ section before you go all gang busters. HAHA

Finally.....

The car looks great.

And many thanks for taking the time to read and figure out how to post pictures. That's a BIG plus point for you.

You friend must be 'nuts', please don't take offence, I'm not implying that your friend selection criteria is somewhat flawed.

It's just that the Jag looks too good to be left under a tarp!!

+ Fluted grill, what looks like picnic tables in the rear, and longish rear pass windows, someone will correct me, but I'm seeing Daimler spec?

Oh I will attest he is a coo coo... but that makes the best kind of friends.

I know very little about the car and until I get the VIN I won't know much more. He is out of town alot so that is what the small bit of info.

The way this worked is I had been telling him if he ever wants to unload the car (he doesn't drive it much) to give me a call first. Well they moved to a new house and he called to tell me he is done with having the car sit un-used and thought of me. I said cool How much? He told me and after oh about a second I said sure.

The only thing going on with it is the lights in the dash stay on that drains the battery. I think I already found on here how to fix it. But in any case he drove it just a couple months ago from Omaha to OKC without an issue. Just needs to be jumped to get her purring..

If anyone can look at it and tell me more I would love too hear about it. There is SURPRISINGLY little about any 92's out there in the Vanden Plas trim.

In the US the "Vanden Plas" designation is equivalent to Daimler in Europe ... or so it has been said before.

Welcome to the forum, what year did you say it is? and what are the color codes? Nice looking car, has anything been restored/replaced or is it all original?

Honestly until this weekend I have little to know information about it other than it was under a cover in their garage until around 3 months ago (when they moved) and it has an electrical issue that causes the battery to drain. I will know more on FRIDAY!!!

I hate bugging my friend as he is out of town sometimes 3.5 weeks a month.

Alright finally have everything I need amd it is paid for. Yeah. Besides some scratches from dogs climbing on It and my weird electrical issue it is mechanically sound and NO rust. All history is up to date and only 2 owners. Second one has had it for 23 years and the last 6 yrars hasnt driven it and had it in a garage. And paid 500 for it! Score.

Very nice! There might be a few quirks that you have to work out but you will definately love the car. Let us know what the electrical issue is. Mine is below.
