Default Parcel Shelf - Blue - read the post

Hello Everyone,

Long time since I've posted, hope all is well for everyone. Recently, I attempted to purchase a fascia (dash) for my car and found one on eBAy. Made the deal and waited for the arrival. Package came last week and to my dismay it was a Parcel shelf (shelf behind rear seat). Needless to say, wrong part . . . not even close!

Seller refunded me cost plus the shipping and stated they did not want the item back (got it in writing). So, I have this part which I do not need and am willing to give it away if someone wants it, just pay the shipping. It is in great shape, doesn't appear faded (wouldn't know, not my color scheme), there are no tears or scraps, it is padded, so perhaps it came out of a VP.

Pictures attached, let me know. I'll give it a few weeks, then dispose of it.

Looks just like mine, Isis Blue. Mines in near perfect shape, though.

We'll see if anyone else is in need.

Thanks for posting here before you throw it out!

Rob,

A generous offer.

If you don't get any response here, I can move the thread to CLASSIFIEDS. Send me a PM if you want it moved.

I'm only posting to keep this thread at the top for another week. No bites yet. If anyone has any bright ideas, don't be bashful, I really don't want to throw this part out.

Don, I'm great, really busy, but hanging in there, hope all is well for you.

Graham, I did put a post in the classifieds, but no activity.

Rob, if we still have cars 20 years from now, people will be clamouring for XJ40 bits ..just like the other old marques ...however today, not too many of us are at the "barn restorer" stage - I have an entire car in boxes waiting for the switch over (but I think the wait just might outlive me!)

all the best & glad to hear all is well down there,

Larry

Thanks Lawrence!

It's very cold here today....52F ..... don't start...

I've decided I'm going to put it in a storage unit we have, but I wanted to add the dimensions of the box it came in so someone can get an estimate on shipping if they want it.

59"w x 22"h x 8"d I also weighed the box with the part and packing content in it and it came in at 12 1/2 lbs, so probably 15lbs is more appropriate.

Rob,

Complaining to a Canadian that you have to endure 52F and expecting him to not respond.... wishful thinking, I should imagine.

To rub salt into Larry's wounds, today in middle-Tennessee it was close to 70F. Flowers are blooming and trees are budding, and Spring is only weeks away.

Cheers,

Don
