So in my Mr. Hyde jaguar project i have decided i might want to make a dry sump system since ive been learning how to machine and tig weld aluminum.

nothing with much detail! pix

but use your creative imagination, do it yourself, then it would be original, and not copying someone elses ideas.

far more satisfiying accomplishment!

Talk to Rob Beere, he knows all about what is required to dry sump the Jaguar V12. From Allan Scott's book about the TWR racing XJS, a big part of the problem is getting the oil back from the front of the engine (where it falls onto the sandwich plate) to the sump. They installed a pump to assist in this process, as dry sump was not allowed in the Group A ETCC rules. With a dry sump system this problem may or may not still be a factor.

Also Demon Tweeks sell dry sump kits and parts, but installation space on a road going car will be a decent challenge as you will need about 3 gallons in the external-to-the-engine tank. How is the project coming along now?

I have and use XJR5 XJR7 and TWR setups. The 1st consideration is if you have room for a couple of gallon + dry sump tank? Have you room in the bay for a huge external pump on the LH side. it need to be 1/2 the size again of a Chevy unit. Have you build or finalised the engine build as there is a bearing clearance difference. Have you done the necessary block mods? Have you the room for the additional toothed pulley at the front of the engine. Full set up appx 10K
The final question is simply why? I won championships racing XJS's just fitting an Accusump, simpler, cheaper, and more effective than you are ever likely to need.
