Looking for a 94 XJS V12 Coupe
Hey Everyone,
New to the XJS forum. What can you tell me about 94 XJS's with the 6.0L V12? Reliability? how many were built? How likely am I to find a pristine one and what would the cost be? Things I should look for? Any other info would be great!
Thanks,
Mike

I don't know the market for the later cars, but I can tell you that make up the largest portion of the low mileage cars that get sold at higher prices.
Reliability is as good as you make it. It is an older, used car, and it is a bit more complicated than an "average" car from its era. You should always checked for rust, and papers for maintenance, don't look at the car in the rain, and take it on a test drive if you are looking for one local.
If you are buying it from somewhere then there isn't too much you can do about that stuff. Look at the faq and other spots for common issues with these cars. There aren't generally any surprises, they all get the same problems so just get a feel for what could happen. these cars can give you trouble, but if you catch up on the maintenance they are really reliable.
You can have problems, overheat, have weird noises, all kinds of stuff any older car will do, but the engine is solid. The XJS is not a car you will hear about getting its engine blown up. For all the reliability guff the jaguar crowd gets, you can place a lot of trust in the heart of the car, which i like.
