throttle position sensor for 1994 xjs

"The TPS units are the same from 1990 to 1994 XJ6 but the HARNESS CONNECTORS ARE DIFFERENT. There are round ones and 'squarish' ones. The earlier 1988/89 have only 3 wires because the gearbox is completely hydro-mechanical and does not need the throttle input.
You can get a Blue round plug TPS and splice the black connector to make it work. They were for the 1990 to 1992 XJ6 but as long as it has 6 wires (3 for the engine and 3 for the gearbox) it will function."

thanks for the fast reply.
I am trying to confirm that the DBC2829 is the same unit referred to as "You can get a Blue round plug TPS and splice the black connector to make it work. They were for the 1990 to 1992 XJ6 but as long as it has 6 wires (3 for the engine and 3 for the gearbox) it will function."
thanks again
