Default XJS parting ways - fighting the cat!

Challenged myself to full part-out.
Glad to share tips. Just pulled the engine block, removed tranny etc, many parts sold.

Tip 1: triple the estimated time
Tip 2: get the right tools and space
Tip 3: make friends with dollies, buy roses for your wife

Out in one lump lifted the body off the drive train

Been there and done that and reused the parts!

Moff1969 thanks
What year/model?
That was my plan b but I would have needed to remove intake manifolds since it wouldn't clear frame.

Glad to ship parts to US but headliner isn't in good condition.
Lot's of other parts in great shape (ie. chrome trim, side mirrors, passenger headlight etc)

Did you clear the body or did you have to cut it?

It took over a week just to get the heads off spraying PB Blaster and turning the screws on the jacking brace one turn at a time then let it sit overnight, after that I had two dropped valve seats were replaced and it was rebuild in about 3 months. It sounds great in my 1940 Chevy Pickup truck with side pipes and various modifications

With the intakes removed it will drop out through the bottom surprisingly easy

You put the average shop to shame, fine job on the engine. Is this purely a hobby or are you in the trade?

I did have a small business at one time but its a hobby for me now, there is a forum on the H.A.M.B hotrod site dedicated to Jaguar IFS and IRS installations the rear is still a popular choice when building performance cars.
