I got these figures from a book by a guy called Nigel Thorley, listed in Appendix A. Thorley is great JEC man and editor of their monthly magazine. The book is called "You and your XJS" and is published by Haynes. It does not give a breakdown of exports and their destinations; but maybe Jaguar Heritage might have it.

1996 XJS V12 (4.0) turquois
My reference book has 1993 to 1996 factory output numbers combined in odd groups, shown below. Of course what date these cars were presented as 1996 model year cars in the USA showrooms is anyone's guess. Also I do not know how many of this total output were exported to the USA. These are the factory output figures:
6 litre coupés, 1993 to 1996: 772
6 litre convertibles: 1995 to 1996: 76 (all celebration trim models)
4 litre coupés, 1995 to 1996: 3022 (a few celebration modls)
4 litre convertibles all 1996: 5490 (all celebration models)

IDK about the 96 and 4.0L but in 1995 only a single V12 in Turquois was made.
Neil Thomas on the FB Forums has been doing extensive research into the late 6.0L production in conjunction with Jaguar Heritage Trust.
The new information is that a full 64 V12 XJS Coupes were built in 1995, 30 of which originally came to the USA. I'm not sure where he is on the connvertible production figure but it is probably more than twice or three times as many. There are at LEAST 90 in the USA.
AFAIK there may have been two 6.0L XJSs made for the UK in 1996.

Because the US stopped taking the V12 6 litre XJS in 1995 (presumably because it didn't meet OBDII standards?), Jaguar really stopped making the V12 XJS at that point.
However, Jaguar did build 3 V12 6 litre XJS in 1996.
One of these was the last XJS built, a silver 6 litre Coupe which was built on the last day of production to be placed in the Jaguar Heritage collection (the 2nd last XJS was the red 4 litre convertible which also went straight into the collection). I suspect it was really difficult to make the last 6 litre car as they needed to try and pull together all the parts to make the car, and even the engine wasn't being built in that configuration for any other model. (the 6 litre XJ12 saloon used the coil on plug configuration by that point.)
But despite the difficulty in finding parts to make a V12 XJS, they also built the last 2 convertibles 6 weeks before that in one shift in Feb 1996. One was a LHD one that went to the Netherlands. And one was a RHD one that stayed in the UK. How or why they made those cars I don't know - perhaps special orders for 2 very persistent or important customers? I have known the RHD one for over 20 years and am currently helping to recommission it.
