Delanair Mk III Introduction/Testing Manual
I have made a copy of this manual, about 30 pages. It is not a repair manual for the entire Delanair system but it has pics, schematic, and 50+ easy-to-understand electrical tests that will help isolate faults in the system.
Anyhow....
What I had in mind was to mail it off to someone who is presently in need. Then, in return, that person makes a full copy (hopefully promptly) and posts that it is ready to be mailed to the next person in need, repeat, repeat....
Let's try to circulate this material to those who are in actual need first. Those wanting the manual for future use, and not having an immediate need, should say so when adding their name to the list. I think we should, and can, depend on the honor system here.
First reply gets the manual and then "tag, you're it" :-). I'll get your address via PM. I won't charge postage but what others decide down the line is between the sender and recipient.
In case anyone is wondering there is absolutely no copyright information/disclosure/warning whatsover in this manual. No publication number, no date, no publisher information, no ISBN, no nothing. I think it was probably part of a "training materials kit" or some such.

But I'm very glad you asked as it was stupid of me to not mention what years are covered.
Perusing the schematics it looks like this manual would cover '87-'91 cars. After that the fundamentals of the system seem to be the same but there are a couple significant changes to the electrical architecture which would surely change the electrical testing procedures.
I'll try to research an exact breakpoint since "model year" is always vague on these cars....but I think "pre-facelft" is a safe assumption.
For owners of '86-87 build date cars the easiest way to identify if your car has the Mk II or Mk III system is the temp control knob. The Mk III system has the "pull for manual control" feature.
Anyhow, sorry that this manual wouldn't be of any use to you.

I have a 3 ring binder of several models of climate control training courses I will try to get electronic (.pdf) copies of soon.
I should get all of my training courses copied to .pdf to make it easier to find info.
Pulling books out of plastic storage tubs is difficult but I don't want rodents destroying books.
The NEW PRODUCT training courses are good because there is a section on soft trim removal that JTIS often neglects.

Ok folks, here's Doug's Delanair III manual. Turns out I had the silly thing in my cabinet all along, too! I think I may have some other tech info to add to it in a short while; I'll get to it as soon as I can.
