Our Time is Coming...

I found out this was happening a few years ago as I was looking for a third 1995 for a project or parts car. I contacted a owner in southern California that was selling a good prospect and he had already been visited by a buyer who ships to a partner in Germany. The buyer said they are looking for very clean turn key examples .

What like the GTHO ph3, and that VL Walkinshaw winged beast they couldn't sell when new that now fetches ridiculous $$$ until the bubble bursts.
Most of the posts I have seen from you on this site are negative towards Jaguar. Why bother coming onto an enthusiast site and continually bagging the product that we here all love.
I'm a car enthusiast and appreciate many different types of vehicles for what they are. I have had 3 Brock Commodores in the 1980's a couple of Jaguars a Mercedes AMG and I have loved ALL of them, and guess WHAT none of them were perfect. In fact the least reliable I have owned (apart from a 1990 Celica GT4) was my 1983 HDT Commodore, it was towed to the dealer a number of times.
My XJS has been ALL over the country, and NEVER let me down. And it would toast any late 1980's HDT Commodore.
If you have nothing nice to say best say nothing at all.

I enjoy many makes of cars myself. I wanted a two seater 6 spd. convertible so I got a '95 Corvette to go along with our '95 XJS'. I really like what each car offers but at the same time it helps me to appreciate the Jag even more.
The XJS just has a presence about it. It was designed to be a GT cruiser and it delivers on so many levels. I seldom get to see my car from a distance as I usually walk past it in the garage or driveway but the other day we took it out for dinner and I was placed at a table where I was able to look at it from about a 40 foot distance. I was just mesmerized by it's beauty and style.
I cannot take the car out without multiple people making a point to tell me how much they like the car. I have noticed that people of all ages are drawn to the XJS. I even had a group of Jr. High boys who were walking by our house who sat down to watch me pull the XJS out of the garage just so they could get a better look at it.
Will the XJS ever command the prices of the E-type? Most likely not ( save for a few examples ) but as the thread says, " Our Time is Coming "

Not at 19 yet but I'm workin on it. No XJS's in the fleet yet either. A 96 convertible in Radiance Red would be perfect. The thing is with cars you have to be patient if it is an investment. You know I could have assembled 10 1970 Hemi Cuda convertibles in the early 80's for under $30,000.00 all day long. But not on a Burger Chef bank account! Time will tell, mine are all drivers and all showable.
