Default Throttle Position Sensor

I have a 95 Jaguar XJS 6 cylinder car. I need to know if the Throttle Position Sensor can be adjusted, how and where it is located on the engine, I have a feeling it is located on the top of the throttle body black and round. Thanks for any help.

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to XJS forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

As far as I can see, it sits underneath the throttle body. Regarding the adjustment: it looks like it is fix in one position.

It is adjustable.worth removing and cleaning the plate and body. repeating butterfly and gapping. we used PDU back in the day but all that did was set throttle voltage. you would need to find voltage at idle, I can't help you with figures I'm afraid. idle valve might need resetting as well.

It is adjustable. You will have to remove it and enlargen the holes into slots. Reinstall without tightening all the way (but tighten it enough that it doesn't move).

Then, with a multimeter attached, you can adjust it to get to the proper voltage reading, 0.6v, if I recall...

If it is adjustable, why the need to enlargen the holes to slots, mate?

Because it wasn't made to be adjustable.

You really need to find someone who can reprogram the parameters in the ECU. I had all the same problems and questions when I bought my 1996 4.0 two months ago. The programing fixes it. Trust me.
