Please help.
Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I need to replace my rear brake bulb and although I have done this before on the other side of the car, I ended up breaking off the point of the reflector when trying to remove the light cluster from the car.
What is the secret to the "tug". I've undone the two nuts, removed the plastic and the light cluster is now loose, but I cannot get it to part with the car. When I did this on the other side the cluster "pivoted" as you can only get a good grip on one side of the cluster and this cause the pointed edge (down the side of the body) to dig in and snap off, but at least that then freed the unit and it came away.
I now want to do this on the other side, but without breaking the reflector.
Any pointers as to how to remove the light cluster?
Thanks.
PS. What an awful design!!!! What with the 70's electric ariel, maybe Ian Callum isn't such a brilliant designer!

There is a little trick. There are two long 7mm nuts you have to remove. The one you can reach easily from the access panel and the other that's more toward the center of the tail light that you have to pull the side panel back to get. I turned my 1/4 inch extension around and put the "female" end over the end of the stud after I removed the nuts. A light tap and the light will pop right out.
