Cool Slow speed/sharp turn noise/vibration

Hello. I've had my 2010 XKR for awhile now, and I notice a slight noise/vibration/light grinding when I turn sharply either direction from a dead stop. I figure it's the Active Differential doing what it's supposed to do, but I'm not sure. It doesn't seem to be getting worse, and I've searched the forum but can't find any references to this. It does this in all modes.
Does anyone else out there have this particular condition?

I know it can be frustrating on this forum waiting for answers. Given how few XKs there are out there (and even fewer forum members), one can be waiting a long time, especially for an uncommon problem!

Where is this vibration? Are you feeling it through the chassis or the steering wheel?

Yes, so I figured.
Anyway, it's more of a grumble mostly from the back half of the car, and only on slow speed tight cornering, which is why I brought up active diff. I've had other cars with posi; clutch, spool and locker; this is SORT of like how a complaining clutch type posi unit would feel. Sort of like a very low frequency vibration, like a .... well, like a glazed flywheel in a manual transmission sometimes feels.
I've never had an active diff before, so I don't know if this is correct or a problem. Maybe I'll take corners a bit wider from now on?

The only equivalent I experience comes from the front, when I'm manoeuvring at low speed when the car is cold - there's some juddering in the steering. Nothing from the rear, sorry.

Cee Jay,
I have exactly the same problem with my 2010 XKR. Pulling out of a parking space or any sharp turn from a stopped position produces heavy vibration, pulsation, and it drives me nuts. I read a while back that there was a TSB about it relating to a power steering hose that needs to be replaced. My guess is that somehow it gets crimped during a sharp turn. When I had my car in for some work about a month ago, my mechanic was supposed to replace it, but forgot. Next week, I will get it done and see if it improves, and I'll let you know.

Cee Jay:

You might just want to "google" the word "wheel hop". Happens when moving very slow, and making a sharp turn.

This may not be the problem, but it is well worth researching.

tberg, your issue sounds more like mine - if you find anything out, let me know. Cee Jay says his problem is at the rear of the car, so not likely to be related. I was mostly replying so that he didn't think we were ignoring him

Naw, I'm a Drag Racer from way back, I know all about wheel hop. That's not the problem. It also may not be all from the rear, as the more I drive the more it seems to come from all over.
Maybe tberg has something with the power steering, The recall is;
Dealers will replace the suspect or leaking power steering lines. This recall is expected to begin by April 11, 2011. The Jaguar recall number is J018.
I don't have any leaks, but I'll contact my Jaguar dealer and see wassup.

Mine only does it when its cold - basically, I have to do a 3-point turn as soon as I start the car in order to turn around in our street, and the wheel judders when I do it. Once the PAS fluid is up to temperature, there's no more juddering.
