coolant leak from rear of engine, help help
saw steam today when car was idling. Loads of coolant dripping on the ground from above the transmission at rear of engine, car is in car park a work so safe there. Took the engine cover of but can see nothing from the top. Will look underneath later after work. Any ideas anyone on what pipe and how to remove. all round coolant bottle is ok. No over heat light , thank god. Had a new thermostat a few months ago. Think water pump is at the front

Brutal, haven't seen you here in forever! I know this was a problem with the X350, though after 100K miles I never had an issue with it, but is this also a concern with the X150?

It's a problem with every 4.2 liter Supercharged engine. 90% + chance it's the hose under the supercharger.
Other lesser possibilities:
Heater hoses (7+8 in diagram)
Throttle body (9+10 in diagram)
Frankly I thinks it's less common in the XK forum than the X350 and S-Types because there are just fewer XKR's on the road comparatively.

He's already fitted the smallest pulley but perhaps a polish or powder coat and polish and port the inside.

On the upside, you've got another decade before you have to worry about it again. Glad it's getting resolved.

Thank my lucky stars i got it before it did any harm, the heater got cold about a mile from work, must have being draining then, when i parked up, i got out to see the remains of the coolant dripping over the cats , hence steam, the coolant bottle had drained, just got it in time. My wife was to take the car that day and was going on a longer journey so if it had happened driving id say it would have cooked. It will be great to have that dreaded duck bill away so won't have to worry about it.

Coolant leak from rear of the engine
this coolant leak happened to me yesterday. i'm in the disassembly process now. is there anything else i need to address while i have it tore down? is there a down side to installing a smaller sc pulley? does this require machining? where do i aquire the smaller pulley?

A place called Mina Gallery sells it online as well as other jaguar parts.
Can someone please tell me what the part number to that "Valley hose"? I suspect mine is leaking too on my 2007 Jaguar XKR
