How many miles on your 2007 - up XK

Enjoy it Maurice! As noted in another thread, the clock is ticking for all of us no matter our stage of life. These cars are meant to be enjoyed - drive 'em! I bought my XKR with 29,000 miles on it and just sold it with over 91,000 miles after 6 years.
My "new" 2001 Ferrari has only 26,000 miles on it. I plan to drive it much more than the previous owner.... no need to "save" it!
Cheers!

Yes sir! That was one of the reasons I purchased the particular car that I did. The previous owner was very meticulous with service records and even had the pre purchase inspection performed at Ferrari of San Fransisco on his own dime prior to putting it up for sale. Still had 90% clutch life left and new Pirelli P-Zero tires to boot! I'm hoping to have smooth sailing for a couple years! (fingers crossed)

Unfortunately for us.... our cars are not in the category of "super cars" and although super low miles helps bring our values to the higher end of what their values are in general....depreciation still greatly out ways any preservation of overall worth. It's an entirely different story if we had a Lambo or Ferrari or Audi A8 where low mileage is a must in order to even sell the car. Yes, it's nice to have the low miles, but when push comes to shove and we are actually trying to sell our cars, I don't think the low miles will help us get much more than a few thousand dollars more being we own Jaguars. If owners of XK/XKRs are keeping their cars in the garage to preserve values, it would probably be much more cost effective to drive the s...t out of them and really enjoy them. Yes, my car has has low miles as well (9,200 miles/2010 XK Coupe) but I just don't drive it very much (OCD) and save it for the great weather and special occasions

Agreed. The main reason we keep ours low mileage is not to maintain its value, but because its the car for special occasions and the odd weekend drive, so it doesn't get driven as much as it probably deserves to be...
