I have secured 2 more of the official Jaguar Leaper Badges that we see on the 2012 to 2013 MY XK/XKR. They were not available for the 2006 to 2011 model years.

These leaper badges really enhance the look of the pre 2012 XK/XKR's. This is the only mod I have made to my 2009, and it really enhances the rear end. I get lots of compliments.

Available on first come basis for $38.00 + $2.00 to ship in the USA. If any interest contact me directly via my private email here on the forum. I don't think these will last long. They are OEM size, metal and have the 3M super adhesive so no drilling is required.

They can also be plastic dipped before placing on the car for a custom look.

1 - Jaguar leaper badge left.........had 2...one being shipped to New Zealand.

OEM size, chrome, no drilling necessary. Goes on rear trunk lid. Same as XK/XKR on 2012 and beyond models.

See photo below of leaper on my 2009 XKR.

If interested send me a private email. This badge enhances the look of the XK/XKR pre 2012.

Badge can be plasti-dipped if you like before mounting for custom look or color.

Lots of Jag owners are doing this in Black.

Richzak. How difficult is it to obtain a leaper badge if desired?

I can see if my contact has any available. It would look great on your new Coupe's rear end. Please advise via PM.

The 3M tape install is easy to perform and durable. It is also easily removed if you need to.
Yes, the badge adds a "Touch of Class" or as you have stated a "little panache".

I wouldn't drive my Jaguar without it.

Enjoy your new ride, these are amazing automobiles.

Simple install:
The adhesive will adhere to the surface better in higher temperatures. Try to do the install at 60 degrees or higher.

Determine where you want to place the badge. You can use regular scotch tape to test stick the badge and take a step back to make sure you are happy with the location. You only get one chance to stick it so make sure it is where you want it. During your test placement make sure the badge lays flat on the surface.

Since the trunk is slight curved where I selected to place the badge, I needed to slightly bend the badge by laying it perpendicular on a pencil and gently pressing the far edges of the leaper. The leaper must lay flat on the surface so in all likelihood you will need to bend it - just don't over do it.

You can mark the area where the badge will go with painters or masking tape. (Using Richzak's photo as a model I attempted to place the badge in a similar location with the bend of the front leg above the inside of the "G" and the bend of the back leg above the outside of the "U".

Make sure the area you have selected to place the badge is clean. After washing the area, I used a small amount of alcohol to clean the area and let it dry thoroughly.

Remove the 3M side of the tape and carefully the position the badge to fit the masked off area you created above. Press firmly with the palm of your hand for 30-60 seconds to make sure the adhesive adheres well. Remove the marking tape and take a step back to admire your new look.

Richzak may have badges available if you are interested in adding a leaper badge to your XK.
Excellent install ideas. Looks great and very OEM. Would like to see some photos of the Jag...looks like a nice silver color.

The addition of the badge really enhances the rear end of the tail. And nothing like..... good looking tail.

Thanks for the install lesson.

Yes, I have a few more leaper badges available.

I just added it and I'm glad I did. It's a clean look - very OEM and very complementary to the other finishes.

Thanks Richard.
