Default MAHLE or MANN?

Gonna start doing my own oil changes and remember reading here that Mann manufactures the OEM XK oil filters. But I notice on amazon a lot of buyers saying the same thing about Mehle. Is it the same company? Not a big deal, just curious.
Thanks!

While the question is interesting, the OEM Jaguar brand filter is cheaper than Mann or Mehle on Amazon so why not stick to original?

I believe the 2010 Jaguar oil filter is a fiber-filter that slides into a canister unlike the 2207 to 2009 Jaguar XK/XKR's which use a traditional screw on oil filter from underneath the vehicle.

I use the Mahle fiber filters in my 2014 Porsche 981 and have had no problems.

On my Porsche the Mahle filter comes with the round rubber gasket, but not sure about the Jaguar.

I believe the Mann and Mahle brands are of equal quality.

..

Right rich , the 5.0L engine has a top mount cartridge filter element. I don't know why other the the environment excuse but they did the insert type. Audi went the other way with the 2.0L A4 and did a top mount spin on. The Jag filter for the 5.0 is not cheap regardless of the mfg. They all seem to run about $25-$40

You mean from a Jag dealer? I'm seeing about $28 for Mann or Mahle on Amazon, and my local Jag parts department charges $38. Ten bucks, so no big deal, but is there a "genuine Jag" filter on Amazon? Just hate paying Jag parts prices.

I just paid $23 for a genuine oil filter from Merriam Jaguar for my 2012 XF Supercharged.

No, not from Amazon, from some dealers.
