Just an interesting point here. Coming from the Ferrari world as a passing comment going into a Lambo or Mas or Ferrari you need to look at normal maintenance costs. A 15K or 30K service will get you between $7-$15 K (timing belt change requires engine removal) so if you are in that tax bracket then no problem but if you are in a lower bracket it takes a bite out of your income. Just sayin .

I do quite like the look of the coupe. Having driven the vert, I would agree with comments that it's tight dimensions prevent you from bringing more than a weekend bag on a road trip. Fun drive though, and the coupe should help with storage space somewhat. The lack of real performance gain over the XK further limits it's appeal though. Of course there are those who do not want the extra space and want a tight, sleek package and this car delivers in spades. Imagine the look on any Porsche driver, suddenly ignored when you pull up in it... priceless.

In the end though, the current XK will stand the test of time better from an overall design perspective and will be regarded as a true classic in some 10 or more years. Especially after it is indignantly porked out as they are suggesting, and it's now perfect dimensions ruined. My slightly biased 2 cents, of course.
