Default Seattle XK-Car clubs

Hi All, I am now just getting back into owning a 1959 XK150S red OTS and in great shape. It has done the circuit around North America starting right here in my home town of Edmonds WA in Oct 58. Then to Vancouver BC for many years and on to Toronto where most of the recent refurb was done. The to Chicago collection and finally to me via a dealer in West Hollywood.
My question is I am looking for local Classic Jag car clubs in the North Seattle (Edmonds) area. Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks Larry, Looks like a great community. Wish it (and computers) were available when I had my last 150S just out of College and the Airforce in 1960. I did find the JDRC NW and joined right away. Just got the stuff in the mail today.

Larry, I am waiting on the repair manual in the mail and my first problem is a sticky Tah that works fine for about 10 minutes or so and then stops. When I back off the knurled nut at the back of the instrument it jumps back to zero and works again for a short while. I suspect the cable needs to be cleaned and lubed. Is there a correct procedure for doing this?

Unfasten cable at both ends. Tach and engine. You can then pull cable out and clean and use light oil and reinstall. Check cable for wear. Best to remember which end where. If problem still exists replace cable assembly, might have a worn sleeve or cable starting to unravel.

Thanks for that. Will pull it and see. Looks OK and turns easily. I re-oiled it but suspect the problem is the tach itself since it works fine for maybe 10 minutes and then hangs up moving just slightly near 1000rpm with a change in rpm. A couple of other questions. The car was changed to negative ground and the choke (starting carb) connection to the sensor disconnected. I'm guessing the solenoid would not function properly with the voltage reversed and so the reason for disconnecting. I was hoping the solenoid was isolated from chassis grnd but measures a few ohms from one side and 16 ohms from the other. Others have done the positive ground conversion. I wonder if there is there any other solution so that I can get some choke function on startup?
