XK 150 Help

An S model 150 would usually have an S on the cowl designating the model. Is this a 3.4 litre or a 3.8 litre as there are different motors. Pictures would help. Does the car have any mods, such as fog lights, twin exhaust, etc.? Look carefully at the S in the serial # and confirm with car and title it is not a 5. My title here has the 5 transposed for an S.

I am not sure if you got this question resolved but here are a few points that I believe are correct.
The first 3.4L "S" OTS LHD with a chassis S prefix was produced on 24 April of 58 as S830336D/N. The factory went to a "T" prefix in Aug 58. the engine number should read VS1xxx-9 if it was an "S" engine.
Since yours is a V 1328-8 engine it is a standard 3.4L engine with 8 to 1 compression.
All 3.4L "S" engines had 9 to 1 compression ratio, triple HD8 carbs etc.
The early designation of prefix S stood for "Special Equipment" I am not sure exactly what that meant as far as the early XK150's. You may try entering your info on XKData.com. There are several experts out there.
