XK150 seatbelts

Hello Gerry
I was faced with exactly the same issue when I fitted belts to my XK150 FHC recently. In my case they were inertia reel seatbelts, but the issues were the same, including no instructions supplied. Other than making sure they are attached to good solid rust-free steel, the main point is that the highest fitting wants to be pretty well at the same height as the top of your shoulder. Removing the trim from below the rear windows revealed a suitable point to drill through, with access for the fixing plate and nut through an existing aperture.
You can get a good idea using the examples here

That's how I worked out what to do, but please let me know if you'd like me to take some pictures.
Hope this helps
Tony

Hello Gerry,
No, I used the existing rear-most seat runner attachment holes, with suitably long and stong bolts to go through the seat runner (the part attached to the floor, not the part that moves with the seat), through the seat-belt mount, through the floor, and on through the seat-belt fixing plate (supplied with the seat beltkit).
Cheers
Tony
