I bought a 2000 pearl black/tan top/tan interior, WITH NO DRIVE TRAIN, for the FRONT CLIP/CAP, to fix my black XK8. Both cars are at the body shop as of yesterday and it should be finished in about 3weeks.


The entire car, MINUS the drive train and front clip/cap, will be available to buy WHOLE or parts. It's a 57k car, interior is perfect. Top is as near perfect for the year and the man JUST had new hydraulic hoses & fittings for the top/latch installed at a dealership. Has OEM wheels with 75% tires in good shape. Spare included.


If you are near Orlando, buy the entire balance for $1500, if you can use the body parts/seats etc. Visit Orlando, Fl craigslist/cars & trucks/private owner, 2000 jaguar xk8, for pictures & contact info. Once you get to cars/PRIVATEOWNER, and put XK8 into the small search window at top left of page, you will see the car. Thanks!

 

I'd be interested in the front seats if they are SDC tan.

Hey Dave, I looked up sdc xk8 seats and it appears that that is what I have. I could take those out for you. Are you in VA? And do you have an idea what you can pay for them? I don't want to get ebay prices but need to be sane about it. I have shallow pockets and borrowed the money to buy this donor car to fix mine...which will cost me around $3,000 in labor.

Yes I am in VA near the NC border. Not sure what to ask for them. I'll have to borrow the money also but it would be nice to have nice front seats as the rest of my car is in great shape...

Dave, the left seat has a little bit of blemish, not bad, but visible. Stetson 1 I'm looking for a few little items. My interior code is SDZ which is cashmere I believe, but it looks close.


1) a working inside rearview mirror WITH auto headlight feature. I'll send mine in for repair to Sybesmas if I have to but I's just as soon pay a reasonable amount for a working one. $100.00


2) I need BOTH outside plastic pieces that cover the recliner mechanism where the seat bottoms meet the backrests. Driver & passenger ($ ??)


3) I also need the small plastic piece that restrains the driver's seatbelt from swinging free and tangling with a rear seat occupants entry. Yeah I know what rear seat occupants? In any case they are side specific so only the drivers side will work.


Although I'm only toying with the idea would you be willing to possibly swap the 18" for my 17" ? I have about 1000 miles on a new set of correct tires I'd of course either pay the ship[ping or drive there to get them swapped plus some labor and a decent differential given the relative difference in tire wear and wheel size.


Why the Stetson 1 handle? Did you go to Stetson and if so what year?

 

How about the little silver mesh grills and plastic surrounds from the passenger side sensors?

And the left side rear marker light bulb/socket )mines toast but the lens is fine.

Sorry TC, no drive train parts are available. Original owner does have a 33k supercharged motor mated to his original 2000 xkr tranny for sale. he said he would sale the pair for $3,000.

 

Frank, the interior trim code should be stamped on a decal/sticker on the driver's side rear door frame. Not the door, but the leading edge of the rear fender line. My '99 is coded SDZ = Cashmere

 

I'll check on it tomorrow morning and let ya know.
