2003 XKR coolant flush & fill
I'm considering doing my own coolant flush and fill on my XKR. While I've done many on other cars over the years I've heard there are issues with getting air properly purged from the system with the XKR. Any details on proper proceedure for the 2003 XKR to get a good flush and fill? Given the car is only driven in warm weather is anything other than the OEM thermostat recommended? Sorry if I have missed a thread on this subject elsewhere.

Anyone have tips or experiences to share for best flush effectiveness on the XKR?
Also, mine has about 34k miles so wondering if a thermostat change is in order? I believe the original thermostat is rated @ 185 F?

Hi all....
Laugh if you'd like,,, but I'm looking at a would be BEAUTIFULLL specimen of a 2003 XKR convertible that was fresh water flooded in Florida a couple years back...
The attachment for the coolant flush and fill above seems to have been EATEN by the forum web site, over time.
Does anyone have a copy or a couple of quick pointers?
SUPER OPEN to warnings about the flooded dangers with the XKR... I put a fresh battery in her and the only thing that came up on the dash was the DCS System Fault...

The workshop manual also has the correct procedure to bleed the cooling system after you have changed the coolant.

Now, I have to HOPE the electrical pump for the intercooler wasn't fried by flood waters. That and 1000 other things.
We'll see.
