Default Almost got my xk8 back from rebuilder, cruise still needs work

My 97 XK8 had a deer incident at the end of June and today I picked it up from the shop that does enhanced inspections (for rebuilt title). Just before the deer incident my cruise stopped working. Would go on but wouldn't hold, as it tried to kick down it would go into an engine fault. Well today I scanned it with my ingenuity and the only codes I got back were p1797, p1798 and p1799. The engine fault message disappears on restart every time so I left it running. I'm assuming those code are probably related to a battery that has sat for months but will look into it further.

Thoughts on what to look at first. Oh and my lovely abs traction control light has come back on and was on when those codes were pulled.

Hopefully I'll have it back once my mechanic cleans it up, recharges the air and polishes it up.

Hopefully all of that will just be due to a low battery.

Sorry about hijacking the thread but I see you have a TVR. I owned this 1980 2500M for many years and really enjoyed it.

No hijacking at all when a M is involved. : Nice looker. Just put a coat of wax on my Tasmin for a weekend show in Jersey. Yours must have been one of the last of the 2500s if it was an 80. I take it you no longer have her? If you get that itch again, the DC region (yes I know it is a hike for ya) has a TVR breakfast on the 1st Sat of the month.

I know the cruise isn't a low battery issue as that was going into engine fault prior to the deer incident. Just trying to get ideas on what to look for when I get her back.

Yes it was one of the last ones. I lived in AZ when I owned it. After using it as my everyday car for many years and passing emissions testing every year they finally failed it because it had no smog pump. It never had a smog pump, even new. It still passed emissions fine but now they said it had to have a pump or no way I could re-register it. It didn't have the ported head the pump system needed so I decided it wasn't worth the hassle. They would not grant me an exception either even when I got written confirmation from TVR that it never had the pump. So I advertised it in Hemmings and a guy from Germany bought it and my Jag XK150 and shipped them there.
