Default Correct tire pressure for 20" wheel?

Called a few dealers around the country today for psi info on a new set of tires on 20" Montreal wheels.

I got quite the range, from 30 to 38psi.

The most common one I got (four dealers) was 30psi on the front and 32psi on the rear. This seems a little low, but what do I know?

This is for a 2003 xkr convt.

Any thoughts or input on this? I'd like them to last. Thanks for your help.

There should be a tag on the inside of the center console top that lists tire pressures for a variety of wheel/tire sizes. In my 2005 XKR, I believe the pressure recommended for the 20" wheels with the Pirelli tires is about 32 psi in front and 30 psi in rear. I typically try to keep all tires at about 32 psi (I also have the 20" Montreal wheels).

I put both front and rear at 32 psi. If you go to the Jag USA website - there's a pdf document there - forgot what it's called - that specify the tire pressure.

Mine also have 20" and Montreals.

Ed
My manual says 32 front and 30 back on 20" BBS Detroits. I had to take a look at my manual again and it reads what MarcB listed from the Jag Spec 32 front 30 rear. So I stand corrected

Just bought an XKR with these 20 inch wheels. I spent a couple minutes looking at them but can't figure where I would add air. I'm sure it's rather obvious but any help here?

one of your centre spider to rim retaining bolts will have a slotted head cap while all the other fasteners will be spline head ( similar to torx)
Remove that cap and screw in your separate valve assembly. If you do not have a valve assy. You will need to get one.
