Hi all.
Has anybody tried one of these mirrors with navigation? They also come with reverse camera and Bluetooth.

 

are these available for the 99 XK8...and where can I get one of these....what damage to my bank account will it cause....i

Do you have a link to the mirror?

 

I looked into these mirrors a couple of years ago. You would need to get it modified so that your auto on/off headlight and rain sensing wipers still work, if you care about those things, but it is not a bad option. I ended up going with a Garman GVN53 using my original video screen and then installed electronic voltage and oil pressure gauges in my mirror.

Mark, do you describe how to do the V & OP mirror display anywhere in the forum? THAT is a slick mod. Can you turn them off and/or dim their display?

This mod was not a DIY mod. There is a company called Radar-Mirror. They specialize in "Stealth RADAR detectors but also will install gauges in the mirror. I like it because I wanted gauges but also wanted to keep my sat/nav capability (I can get lost going around the block). The display cannot be dimmed but it does not really need to be dimmed. It's bright enough to see during the day but not so bright that it's distracting. It's brighter at night but also not so bright as to be a distraction. I really like it.
