XK8 "How To" Faux Wood Trim
Ok, finally I took the courage to follow bradstuff "wood making" technique. His tutorial is simple and easy to follow. Needless to say, I'm very pleased with the final results. Additional to the pieces bradstuff did on his XK, I also did the radio fascia, which in my case was broken on two parts at the sides. I glued the parts with 5 minute epoxy glue, sanded and paint. If you plan to do the fascia too, my advice is to be patient and careful when taking the A/C buttons apart. Plastic is very fragile and easily brakes. Happy "wood making" to those that want to follow.
