Default 2004. portfolio additional value

Hi All

the 2004 portfolio XKR must have an additional value as they only make 100 Jupiter red and 100 Coranado blue one MAKING THEM VERY RARE

anybody got an idea what the "extra $" (or %) would be to buy one over a standard 2004 XKR.

Many thanks

Not likely anything you can bank on. If you happen to find a buyer who just has to have one of these, then who knows. Otherwise maybe incrementally higher than a "normal" XKR.

Doug's right You have to have the right buyer. In the far future they may be worth more than a standard XKR but I don't think many of us will be around to reap the benefits. My Silverstone shows book values in the NADA guide between 24,000- 42,500 today and that just isn't going to happen, Maybe 24,000 at a auction were you have two people that really want the car. Outright between 12,000 to 20,000 depending on the car.

Doug, in Eu there are currently 4 Silverstone listed on Autoscout, between 30.000 and 49.000 euro.
Do not know if they will find a buyer, but a limited edition seems always appreciated.....

I would tend to agree with what the others have expressed that there is very little to no extra value.
I would think very low mileage vs. medium or high mileage would be a much bigger consideration.

The 30.000 one, from the photos, seems sitting from long time in a deposit.....

You can ask anything you want, it's whether they are getting those figures. I haven't seen any Silverstones selling for the higher amounts stateside.

Well I am looking at a 2004 portfolio (red car) with 33000 miles and 24 grand USD ASK.

thing is by the time I get it to Canada it will cost $36000 CDN then BC tax is 12% & duty is 6.1% all on the CDN amount... $30081.00 today and extra $5444.00 CDN for duty and taxes.

seems 35 grand CDN IS TOO HIGH... but its a low mileage and portfolio ...its tempting
... I can buy a regular 2004 xkr for 26-27 grand CDN TAX IN

ANY THOUGHTS !!

Many Thanks

How badly do you want the car? It is significantly overpriced. Negotiate, negotiate, negotiate....

What does the Portfolio version have that a standard car doesn't?

FWIW...this car sold this week in ON.
2004 Jaguar XKR Convertible | used cars & trucks | Oakville / Halton Region | Kijiji
I looked this car over. It was very high mileage 116,000 miles (US car) in average condition. The drivers seat bolster needed to be replaced, usual scratches and dings on a car this age, etc. The owner was willing to sell it for $9K. I offered $7K. It sold two days later to someone else, unsure of the final price, but probably under $10K Cdn.
Most of the differences on the Portfolio are cosmetic. Red or blue leather interior, Sepele dash wood, 20" BBS Detroit wheels (these were also avail, as an option on non-portfolios), and the exterior paint. Other than that they were mechanically identical to a regular 2004 XKR.

I assume you are looking at this one...
Cars for Sale: Used 2004 Jaguar XKR in , Novato CA: 94949 Details - Convertible - Autotrader

For a price comparison see this one...
Cars for Sale: Used 2004 Jaguar XKR in Convertible, Longwood FL: 32750 Details - Convertible - Autotrader
It has a little higher mileage, but the price is much more realistic.
