Default 1997 XK8 Transmission problem

I have a shift from 2nd to 3rd problem with my XK8. I have a post on here re that. I suspect I have a computer problem. My question is which numbers on the computer have to match up. I have 5 lines of numbers and letters. One of the lines is LJA 2401 AB. Is this the number I have to match up? I found a computer locally with LJA 2401 AA. I saw somewhere that the LJA 2401 AA will work but I am not sure. Is there a computer business that I can send my computer to have it checked out?
Thanks for your time. John

That'll be the ECM number you're quoting?

A.f.a.i.k. it has to be the same suffix or later but will need to be programmed to the vehicle by a Jaguar dealer or an independent with the same diagnostic system facilities.

Before jumping to that costly possible solution, have you had the DTC error codes checked by someone with the facility to read transmission codes?
