Default DTC P 1341 and DTC P 208 need help!

1. How do I check that the sensorhead is ok? On my xkr 2001 the cables and the sensorhead is in one piece! Is it possible to remove the sensor head from the cables??

2. How to disconnect the connector from the fuel injector? ( Cylinder B4 (8)).

Hope somebody has any good ideaas!

Bo,

1. the CMP isn't serviceable - all you can do is clean the face / check the harness connections.

2. Injectors - here's the JTIS procedure for removal/ installation:

JTIS - XKR Fuel Injectors.pdf

It refers to several other JTIS sections. if you need any of these, post back here.

Thanks for your reply and tips.

1. The CMP has been cleaned because it was a lot of engine oil on it. So let´s hope that this action will cure that problem.

2. I was rather looking for a shortcut to remove the fuel injector w/o removing a lot of parts! E.g. is it possible to remove the fuel injector without removing the air cooler etc?? I have removed the connector and found that the fuel injector measured only 1,6 ohms instead of 12>16 ohms. So I´m looking for an easier method to remove it!
Best regards / Bo

Bo,

I have the N/A which is easier but there is a shorter method given in JTIS for injector removal on the S/C engine.

Safety precautions still have to be observed to depressurize fuel system and also the battery should be disconnected.

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect injector connector.
Disconnect and reposition bank 1 or 2 fuel injector harness connector to allow access to injector.
Loosen but do not remove nut securing injector harness support bracket to camshaft cover.
Reposition injector harness to allow access to injector.Detach injector connector.

2. Remove fuel injector.
Prise out injector retaining clip, ensuring that it is not ejected and lost. Note orientation of clip.
Using a suitable implement, carefully lever injector from fuel rail.
Discard injector O-rings

INSTALLATION

Fit new O-rings, lubricated with petroleum jelly, to fuel injector.
Install fuel injector into fuel rail.
Press firmly until it is felt to click into place.
Hold injector firmly down and install injector securing clip in correct orientation.
Re-connect injector and harness connectors.
Tighten harness nut to 4-5Nm.

Yes I know that. But in my case with the xkr you have the aircooler just above the fuel injectors! It is very narrow and I wonder if someone has removed the injectors w/o removing the aircooler/supercharger etc??
Thanks anyway for your assistance. I´m in a hurry because I would like to visit the summermeet in Sweden which takes place in 8 days from now and I´ve just ordered a fuel injector from UK. / Bo

Bo,

Result.
As no XKR owning member replied to this thread with a shortcut, it would be useful to post the removal and replacement method when you've finished.
