Default Front Seat mounting Bolt ?

Discovered the Driver's right front seat mounting bolt is missing. The seat is only retained by 3 bolts. What size bolt is required and does anyone have extra one? I searched on Google and found it has a T-40 head, but no thread size or pitch. Send PM if you have a bolt.

Yes, that appears to be correct. Dealer quoted M8 x 28mm with T-40 head. I will send PM with info separate.

Then dealer was correct.
Pic supplied by [CyJag] certainly looks like a metric 8mm x 28mm and that head is definitely a T (for Torx) head. Common as chips. Surely your dealer, (or local auto shop or local garage) had some in stock?

Your seat is secured by 3 bolts. You could have taken one of them out to find the size ......?

Here's a pic of my floor frame showing the 4 bolt holes for the seat frame. They are all threaded.

Thanks for pic, the hole in my floor does not appear to ever had a captive nut. Must have missed it on build. Perhaps a slot in side of mount area and a U-nut can be used. Tried to remove seat, but 2 of the 3 bolts had deformed T-heads due to prior damage. Would never have noticed 1 missing, if I hadn't tried to remove the seat.:-)

You could cut a slot for a plate with a nut on it or you could get a rivnut.
A local body shop should be able to install a rivnut quickly if you bring it without the seat (car on a trailer??)

Sounds like you need 4 not 1 ! At least they are cheap and once you get the old ones out easy to put in. Ensure your torque them properly.

RESOLVED! Purchased some 8mm nutcerts (Rivetnuts) from Fastenal. Had to enlarge the seat mounting hole just over 13mm (1/2") to install the nutsert. It collapsed well and bolt mounted into it as OEM. There was never a captive nut from the factory, it was just omitted. All is well, thanks for suggestions.
