The codes were a year or more ago - so I cannot answer that question, but were normal for a cruising speed, but cannot remember exactly. The codes at WOT were the LT and short term are zero as the system goes to an open loop on fuel and so therefore the ST would show zero always on open.

I think the codes set at 25 (being 25%).

You do have a good battery and have not had it disconnected i.e. have not cleared the trims (so, it's not relearning)? In case it's relearning I'm not sure how much you'd want to be doing till they're fairly stable.

Battery is essentially brand new. It went down completely by sitting. Codes have been reset and it has had about 8 drives cycles and has learned nothing new from where it started about 3 weeks ago.

We are going to disconnect, reset codes and have him drive it back and forth to work as he had done before the sitting of the car and see if the 0171 and 0174 reoccur.

If, for reason, which on the surface make no sense, do not reoccur and the LT trims stay as high on just simple cruising- then something is amiss.

I took out my own 05 Stype, albeit a different car (had disconnected the battery and cleared the codes (p1111), the system, like the XKR, is still trying to adjust to the 14-1 ratio and my fuel trims, even on the first drive cycle my fuel trims went exactly to where they had been for the last 25,000 miles.

So what would you deduct from the +15.6 and +16.4 LT trims at cruising at almost any speed?

Insufficient data on their own - could be anything from a fuel problem to blocked cats.
