grey fabric XKR 2003
Hello Mates,
my friend has a lot of problems with his grey fabric at the A Pillars
Itīs a convertible and we want to refurbish his A Pillars with some new fabrics. But ...we donīt no where to buy this fabric in same color as the old ones.
Does anyone of you got some advice, where to buy?
thanks and regards

I'm think of doing what Philhef did. He had covered it with black swede and painted the convertible roof fabric, roof console and windshield surround in black. I like the look of it much better.

if you are careful you can reuse the fabric, assuming its not seriously damaged and is just dirty and loosening up.
See below for how I reconditioned the pillars and the header using the original fabrics.

The velour on the A pillars is an acrylic velour available in most any fabric store or textile district in most cities. It is also machine washable, so if it's dirty or sagging, you can remove it from the pillar and throw it into the washer. It will be just fine. I say this from some experience as my family had a chain of fabric stores for more than 50 years in Los Angeles, and I have sold thousands upon thousands of yards of this fabric. The velour, since it is knitted, as opposed to woven, has a tendency to stretch and sag. The Passion Suede which comes in so many colors that you should have little trouble matching it, is stronger, richer looking, and hardier (and is what's used on the X150 XKR under the Alcantara banner). It is also available for well under $10/yd-60" width. I pay $3.95/yd through my supplier.

Thanks for the advice
I think the foam is important.
My XKR Coupe has some foam between the plastic cover and the fabric.
My friends Convertible doesnīt ... so we want to try this posted fabric offer (link before) with foam
Normally i would go shopping at some fabric dealer shop ... but in this case why not buying ready fabric
