A 1mm hub centric spacer?
Good Morning All...
Need y'all's big brains.
I'm still feeling this car out.
Drove 450 hundred miles for the first time a bit ago.
The 2004 XKR came with after market wheels. Maxx Hyper Silver. TSW makes them. They are 120x5 pattern, 19x8.5 with a 30 offset. The bore is 76mm - Jaguar hub is 73.9... A 2mm (1mm all around difference) 😳
Driving 65-70mph I have a definite vibration. 80+ it smooths out. I'm literally sitting in the waiting area now while my wheels are being balanced.
Is there a point in getting someone to make a hub centric spacer with a thickness of 1mm? Can one even be made?
If ANYONE has found a company that you trust and is GOOD
for hub centrics and can point me in a direction I would appreciate it.

You definitely need to match the correct wheel bore, even more so since the PCD is only close.

They wouldn't balance the wheels. They said (rightly) that the tires were toast - and I'm ashamed... Really,,, smh... I need more $$$$$
Anyways. Now here's another question... I'm looking at 245/45/R19 all around. All of the rims are 8.5... 19inches. Will they fit properly is the question...? Looking for a BIT of reassurance before I place the order.

I have a 2003 XK8. Originally mine came with 8" wide x 18" on front and 9"wide x 18" on rear.
Front tires were 245/45/18, rears were 245/55/18.
I recently changed to Foose wheels that are 8.5" x18" all around with the same staggered tire sizes.
I found i needed a 1/4" spacer on the rear wheels to have the center line of the tire in the same place.
As far as physically fitting the 245/45/18 tires on 8.5"x18" rims fit on all four corners, with or without spacers on rear.
I cant imagine it would not be the same for 19" wheels.
I am a bit of a purist on handling so I wanted rears to have the proper tracking and alignment width, etc.
The spacers were free from the wheel vendor.
They also had to bore out the wheel centers for proper fit (also no charge).

Can the PCD thing cause the shaking at 70mph? Seems like it could and even would. That .65 of the 120.65 (or 120.60?) needs to go somewhere, right. Can or does it shift the wheel/rim significantly in one direction or another once the rims are torqued down?

I'm thinking I will make a sleeve of a section deep enough to fit into the bore of the rim and see if I can get it right. I would go by the price as 2.5mm on the radius will make no difference ..go for the cheaper one.
I can get two 45s for $150 but the 40s are $200. Delivered not fitted. How do they cost out in the good old US?
You need to make sure that the stud holes in the wheels are big enough for the bolts to pull down flat on the wheel casting.

I don't drive hard and I don't drive fast. Never did never will. For me, to a degree, tires are tires. Need em, don't obsess over them.

245/40 is listed as 26" tyre while 245/45 is listed as 27" tyre. The side wall heights are 98 and 110 mm respectively. The 45 and 40 are percentages of tyre tread width not mm measurements.

well dont claim to be a tyre expert ..it a long time since I built kit cars and needed all that ****.
look at

245 40 are 26.7in
245 45 are 27.7 in
so that 1/2 in less wheel arch clearence
Looks like tyre prices are much higher in the US so a careful choice can save the $$$
The 245 may give better MPG
