Intermittent Fuel Leak?????
Friday morning the Jag was slow starting, it never cranks but a second before firing, but that morning it cranked for several seconds before starting.
Car was running ok and no lights or warnings, so I backed her out of the driveway. Then I see a sheet of liquid running down the driveway....not good. Shut the car down and went to investigate, swiped a finger in it, and it was FUEL! Lots of fuel!
I popped the hood, could see nothing unusual, so I turned the key on to pressurize the fuel rail, did not see anything glaring, looked under the car and could see it dripping from the passenger rear, right off the exhaust
I looked again closer from above in the region and realize below the injectors on the back half of the engine was standing fuel, running off the back of the head.
I locked it down and told the family not to touch it, grabbed a rental for the weekend cause i had to get moving.
Today I finally got to investigate it again, thinking injector o ring, or maybe the pressure regulator, I have the daughter turning the car off and on for me while I watch intently to find the source.....NOTHING
I have her start the car.........NOTHING
I have her rev it up...........NOTHING
Bone dry.........
I don't own a Nascar firesuit so I really need to find the source of that fuel friday, anybody got any guesses?
